Substantial Settlement Achieved in Personal Injury Suit: In August 2011, Blake Hannafan and Jim McGuinness settled a Personal Injury lawsuit on behalf of Stephen Fantham, arising from a traumatic leg amputation as a result of a land mine explosion in Sudan, Africa, against Ronco Consulting Corporation pending in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. In addition, the settlement also included claims for loss of consortium to Mr. Fantham's wife. The settlement was reached before Roncoe even responded to the complaint. The terms of the settlement agreement are confidential. Illinois Rising Star — Blake T. Favorable Summary Judgment Received: Obtained a summary judgment on behalf of the firm's client American Naitonal Bank as trustee for the estate of Dr. Greg Lauz regarding claims based on fraudulent transfers. The opinion granted a total defense victory based on the Illinois Dead Man's Act. The Summary Judgment was granted by Judge Kapala in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. 2009 Michael T.
